By providing technical and application Engineering Services, Pandrol SA provides tailor-made solutions for our customers. We offer full sales and after-sales technical support within the SADC region and Africa – including South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Lesotho, Eswatini, Tanzania, Guinea and the DRC.
Pandrol SA is an ISO:9001 and ISO:14001 accredited company, with a level 2 rated BBBEE certificate. A private company owned by Sturrock & Robson Industries, Pandrol Ltd, and Sphere Investments, Pandrol SA has been in existence for over 86 years and our presence in the country has been a welcomed support for the local railway and mining industry since our establishment in 1937.

Meet Our Team

Finance Director

Nomsa Khoza

Nomsa Khoza was appointed as Finance Director for Pandrol South Africa In November 2020.  Nomsa graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2002 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting. She then went on to complete her Honours in Accounting from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2005. After becoming a qualified CA from SAICA, as well as completing her MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Nomsa is a highly qualified accounting and financial executive with more than 15 years of experience in finance and operations management. She has a demonstrated ability in business planning and analysis, budgeting, P&L management, and investor relations.

Managing Director

Dean Lincoln

Appointed as Pandrol South Africa’s Managing Director in January 2021. Dean graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1996 with a BSc in Extractive Metallurgy. He joined Pandrol in July 2018 as General Manager.  Dean Lincoln has achieved a number of records with the company, which includes the best safety record in the company’s history with zero lost time injuries for 31 months, and successfully managing a team of 120 employees through the COVID19 pandemic. Dean is also associated with the Metallurgical Mine Managers Association (MMMA) and the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and has been appointed as Director of Pandrol Mozambique, located in Maputo.

Manufacturing Executive

Jan Krüger

He has been with Pandrol SA in the role of Manufacturing Executive since November 2010 and been part of the Sturrock & Robson group for more than 20 years. Jan graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1994 with a B.Eng. (Mech.) degree and started working for LIW Engineering and Robert Bosch Automotive before joining Sturrock and Robson in various positions throughout the group in manufacturing environment roles. Jan further graduated with an MBA degree in 2003 also from the University of Pretoria which later became GIBBS. Jan is an agile member of the Pandrol Management Team with a proven track record.  Jan Krüger prides himself as being a specialist in cost optimization and reduction of manufacturing overheads. He has been active in a manufacturing environment for more than 3 decades.

Sales Executive

Mabuza Shabalala

Mabuza was appointed as the Sales Executive for Pandrol South Africa in June 2021. Mabuza obtained a National Diploma in Civil Engineering at Mangosuthu University of Technology in 1999, thereafter obtaining a Management Advancement Programme at Wits Business School in 2003. In 2009 he completed the International Executive Development Programme with Wits Business School and London Business School. Thereafter, in 2015, he graduated from Durban University of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering. In 2019, he graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA), and recently as in 2020 he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Wits Business School. Mabuza has extensive multi-disciplinary railway and the built environment infrastructure maintenance and engineering experience. He is a focused executive with demonstrated accomplishments and expertise gained over the decades on profit and loss management through pricing strategy. He is also a member of Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA), (PMISA), (SAICE) and a member of (IPET).

Technical Manager

Lourens De Beer

He was appointed as technical manager in June 2023. Lourens studied at wits university and has a BSc. Degree in Physical metallurgy. He has also obtained his MBA through NMMU Business School in Port Elizabeth. He has 30 years manufacturing experience in various industries ranging from Aviation to Automotive and experienced in rail. Lourens introduced new and legacy products to manufacturing facilities, involved in a number of new vehicles launches and the introduction of various features and components to vehicle lines. Industrialized several products, that were not manufactured for long periods into new and updated manufacturing facilities.

SHERQ Manager

Barrington Ndlovu

He was appointed as SHERQ Manager in September 2023. Barrington has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and Operations Management respectively and with Postgraduate Diploma in business administration.  He also obtained his Advance Project Management, OHS Management, TQM, SAMTRAC, and Certificate in QA with City & Guilds of London, respectively. 

He has 2 decades of experience within manufacturing sector focusing on SHERQ management principles and compliances to the benefit of the people, the products, the environment, and good business practices and which spans along the positive contribution to the delivery of the related products and service to the projects of Civil infrastructure, Railway infrastructure and Mining’s – Geotechnical support products.
